The Denman Island Garden Society has scheduled its next meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place at the United Church.^[1]

The announced theme is “(Garden) Bed Talks,” with presentations on a root cellar, Denman Island’s Million Dollar Melon and growing vegetables in space.^[1]

The society also thanked the organizer, volunteers, participants and spectators who took part in the Fall Fair’s Show What You Grow event and scarecrow competition.^[1]
