A Vietnam War resisters event is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, at the Denman Island Activity Centre, with a film screening followed by a presentation about a book on war resisters. ^[1]

The notice says Patricia Gruben’s film, “Heart of Gold,” begins at 1 p.m., with tickets available at the door for $10. It describes the film as a fictional story about an army draftee who leaves active duty for Canada. ^[1]

Joline Martin’s book, “War Resisters: Standing Against the Vietnam War,” is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The notice says it features previously untold stories of twelve Vancouver Island war resisters. ^[1]
