The Denman Island Local Trust Committee held a community information meeting and public hearing on proposed bylaws for the Denman Conservancy application at its February 17 special meeting.[1]

The proposed changes would redesignate land from Sustainable Resource to Conservation, with the agricultural portion unchanged, and rezone parcels from Forestry to Conservation. The minutes say the Conservation zone permits passive recreation with limited accessory structures and no residential use.[1]

The minutes record no questions or comments from the committee or public during the community information meeting on the proposal. They record that the public hearing was recessed and then recalled to order.[1]
