A free tax and resources fair is scheduled for March 12 at Denman Community Hall, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to an event notice in this week’s Islands Grapevine.[1]
The notice says outreach representatives from the Canada Revenue Agency and Service Canada will be available for one-on-one help with tax returns, benefits and missing tax slips or notices of assessment. Visitors are asked to bring government-issued identification and relevant documents.[1]
The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction is also scheduled to attend, with help on provincial income or disability assistance. The notice says limited volunteer tax filing will be available, and information tables will cover local resources and services.[1]
