A comedy workshop and community showcase are scheduled for Denman Island, with online sessions on Mondays from May 11 to June 1 and a performance at the Community Hall on June 6.[1]
The notice said the workshop would explore humour and comedic storytelling through settler-Indigenous relationships, and participants would work on a three-minute stand-up routine. It said the workshop is open to Denman residents over 14, with no one turned away because of lack of funds.[1]
The listed cost is $150 for adults and $60 for youth. The notice said a final workshop would take place on the Friday or Saturday before the show to finalize routines.[1]
