The Denman Local Trust Committee considered first reading of proposed amendments to the Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw at its May 12 meeting, then asked staff to incorporate housekeeping, grammatical and formatting changes discussed by trustees.[1]
The minutes record discussion of strata conversion, secondary-suite covenants and a proposed maximum floor area for dwellings. Trustees also noted changes to the draft bylaws, including revisions concerning rainwater collection and freshwater cisterns.[1]
A member of the public spoke about an affordable-housing emergency and urged trustees to move forward with the draft amendments, according to the minutes.[1]
