Trust committee seeks $15,000 for climate education plan

The Trust Programs Committee asked Trust Council to approve funding in 2027/28 for a climate action education plan developed through the Stewardship Education Program.

The committee asked Trust Council to approve $15,000 in the 2027/28 fiscal year for developing and implementing a Climate Action Education Plan through the Stewardship Education Program, and asked staff to prepare a business case for approval by the committee chair.[1]

The committee also asked Trust Council to approve $100,000 for mapping updated ecosystem data sets and indicators and maintaining ecosystem health reporting, with staff to provide business cases later in the 2027/28 budget development cycle.[1]

The minutes record that both funding requests carried. They also say the minutes are draft and are not official until adopted at a subsequent meeting.[1]
