The amendment replaces a proposed social-media posting requirement with notice “in a publication that circulates at least monthly in the Islands Trust Area.” Trust Council passed the amendment and gave the bylaw three readings at its June quarterly meeting.[1]

The minutes record that trustees discussed newspaper notification versus using electronic methods exclusively before voting on the amendment.[1]

Trust Council also passed a motion stating that the notification methods in the amended draft bylaw are reliable, suitable and accessible for the Islands Trust Area.[1]
