Denman school seeks lunch provider for community program

The community school is seeking a paid lunch provider for students and staff, with applications due Sept. 11.

Denman Island Community Education Society is seeking a lunch provider for the Denman Community School, offering a one-year contract to prepare lunches for up to 60 students and staff.[1]

The notice says lunches will be mostly plant-based, with a mix of assemble-and-serve and cooked-from-scratch options. The provider must have experience in a similar setting, FoodSafe certification and a criminal record check.[1]

The position pays $25 an hour to start, for five hours a day, three days a week. Applications addressed to Gracie MacDonald were due by the end of Sept. 11.[1]

The society is also seeking after-school facilitators and garden helpers, according to the notice.[1]
