BC Ferries announces service improvements for Denman and Hornby routes

BC Ferries has agreed to several service improvements following community advocacy and a petition. The Quinitsa ferry will operate on Route 22 (Hornby-Denman) in summer 2023, the Kahloke will assist on Route 21 (Denman-Buckley Bay) during peak season, the BSC ferry will be expanded to carry at least 70 cars by 2024 or 2025, part of the expansion will include switching the BSC to electric power, and a new Island Class ferry will be placed on Route 22 in 2026.
