BC Ferries Announces Service Improvements for Hornby-Denman and Denman-Buckley Bay Routes

BC Ferries has agreed to several service changes following community advocacy and a petition. The Quinitsa ferry will operate on Route 22 (Hornby-Denman) in summer 2023, the Kahloke ferry will assist on Route 21 (Denman-Buckley Bay) during peak season, the Baynes Sound Connector (BSC) will be expanded to carry at least 70 cars by 2024 or 2025, part of the expansion will include conversion to electric power, and a new Island Class ferry will be placed on Route 22 in 2026.
