BC Ferries has agreed to several service improvements including operating the Quinitsa on the Hornby-Denman route in summer 2023, moving the Kahloke to assist the Denman-Buckley Bay route during peak season, expanding the BSC ferry to carry at least 70 cars by 2024 or 2025, converting the BSC to electric power, and placing a new Island Class ferry on the Hornby-Denman route in 2026.
