BC Ferries to Replace Plastic-Coated Cables on Baynes Sound Connector

BC Ferries announced plans to replace all plastic-coated cables on the Baynes Sound Connector ferry with flattened strand steel cables to address environmental concerns caused by plastic shedding. The new cables are expected to be as quiet as the current ones and installation will begin as soon as possible.
