Denman Green Affordable Housing Project Advances

development · November 2021 · Corner of Kirk and Northwest Roads

Denman Green Affordable Housing Society is progressing with an application to the Islands Trust to transfer densities, rezone land, and subdivide a 20-acre site for affordable housing. The project includes building 20 units with energy-efficient designs and aims to be net zero energy and use rainwater harvesting. BC Housing provided $95,000 in project development funding in 2018. The project is undergoing bylaw amendments and environmental impact studies, with an upcoming community information meeting and an AGM scheduled for February 27, 2020.
