Denman Island Beach Cleanup Collects 6-7 Tonnes of Plastic Debris

The annual beach cleanup on Denman Island collected approximately 6-7 tonnes of plastic debris, mostly from the shellfish industry in Baynes Sound, with 60-70 volunteers participating over two weeks. Over 16 years, about 78 tonnes have been collected from Baynes Sound's shoreline.
