Denman trustees advance housing review with new referrals
The Local Trust Committee asked for First Nations engagement, community housing information and public-engagement options as the review moves forward.

The Denman Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to seek First Nations input on developing a housing action plan, send the June 6 report and related materials to the Housing Advisory Planning Commission for comments, and ask three local housing organizations to help gather information about housing need. [1]
The committee also asked staff to identify public-engagement options with the Housing Advisory Planning Commission and develop a project charter for the next phase of the Housing Review Project. [1]
The committee requested a business case focused on a water-availability assessment as part of the housing project for 2024/25. [1]
The committee also advanced the Denman farming regulation review by amending and giving second reading to proposed bylaws 228 and 229, notifying affected property owners about land-use designation changes, and adding a land-use bylaw map amendment project to the future projects list. [1]
The meeting was held June 6, 2023, at the Denman Activity Centre and was adjourned at 1:55 pm. [1]
