Hornby and Denman Islands pursue fibre-optic internet networks

Hornby Island held a meeting where a consultant was hired to explore fibre-optic internet solutions for both Hornby and Denman Islands. The estimated cost is $10-12 million to provide fibre-optic connections to every residence. Provincial and federal funding may cover 75% of costs. Denman Island Internet Committee also held a consultation presenting proposals from Telus and Baylink for fibre-optic upgrades.
