Hornby Island Community School Students Participate in Helliwell Provincial Park Habitat Restoration

On October 22, Hornby Island Community School students, along with Natural History Centre stewards and BC Parks staff, planted nearly 600 native plant plugs in Helliwell Provincial Park as part of ongoing habitat restoration efforts to support endangered Taylor’s checkerspot butterflies and reduce forest fire fuels.
