International Conflicts in Ethiopia and Yemen Enter Temporary Truces
other · March-April 2022 · Ethiopia and Yemen
Temporary truces have been declared in the conflicts in Ethiopia and Yemen as of late March and early April 2022. The Ethiopian government declared a humanitarian truce on March 24, 2022, aiming to end a 16-month conflict in Tigray. A two-month truce in Yemen has also been established, allowing fuel imports but not food. These truces offer hope for negotiated peace in two of the world's deadliest conflicts.
