Islands Trust committee sends audited statements to Trust Council

The Financial Planning Committee received the audited statements for information and will present them for approval at the June Trust Council meeting.

The Financial Planning Committee will send the Islands Trust audited financial statements and accompanying audit report to Trust Council for approval at its June meeting. ^[1]

Director Derek Cockburn said the auditors provided a clean audit report with no errors. ^[1]

The committee discussed how engineered infrastructure, including roads, is planned and accounted for in the Islands Trust Area. The minutes state that infrastructure is provided by the Province and regional districts, while Islands Trust has a role in fostering relationships with decision makers and influencing planning for investment. ^[1]

The committee also forwarded the March 31, 2026 financial results briefing to Trust Council for information and forwarded draft budget assumptions, principles and guidelines to Trust Council. ^[1]
