The inaugural Jason McDonald Memorial Slo-Pitch Tournament took place August 24-26, 2018, on Denman Island at the park behind the Community Hall. Seven Valley teams participated, with local Denman Hashers defending their home turf. The event included a concession with oysters, a beer garden, and 50/50 draws.
