Nuu-chah-nulth Nations urge government to implement 2009 fishing rights ruling

Five Nuu-chah-nulth Nations and the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council urge the newly elected Canadian government to implement a 2009 Supreme Court ruling recognizing their Aboriginal fishing rights. They sent a letter to Prime Minister Trudeau requesting a reconciliation agreement by March 2020 and meaningful fishing opportunities regardless of agreement status.
