Elected representatives from the Islands Trust and San Juan County have signed an open letter urging Prime Minister Trudeau to abandon the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion project due to risks to the Salish Sea, including increased oil tanker traffic and threats to orcas, salmon, and local economies dependent on tourism and a healthy environment.
