Elected representatives from the Salish Sea islands in Canada and the US have written an open letter urging Prime Minister Trudeau to abandon the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion project. They cite risks to the environment, orcas, wild salmon, and local economies dependent on tourism. The letter is signed by 22 trustees from Islands Trust and three San Juan County councilors.
