On May 25, 2021, 42 people including Indigenous negotiators and legal observers were arrested by RCMP near the former Caycuse blockade during protests against old-growth logging. The arrests occurred without police warnings and involved detainment in crowded vehicles. The blockade was cleared and logging resumed by Teal-Jones contractors shortly after.
