Study Shows Many BC Mining Projects Fail to Materialize or Underperform

A study by Simon Fraser University found that of 27 BC mining projects granted environmental assessment certificates since 1995 and projected to open by 2022, 20 failed to open and those that did underperformed economically compared to forecasts.
