Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Recovery Project Conducts Surveys and Habitat Restoration

Volunteers and biologists conducted butterfly surveys in Helliwell Provincial Park and other locations to monitor the critically endangered Taylor’s checkerspot butterfly. Habitat restoration efforts including weeding and replanting native species continue to support population recovery. The project involves multiple organizations and has received funding and in-kind support.
