On October 10, water scientist William Shulba gave a presentation at the Denman Community Back Hall about the unique groundwater system on Denman Island and the new Water Sustainability Act. He explained the island's groundwater as a connected aquifer system with challenges including seawater intrusion and slow recharge due to low-lying topography.
