Activity Challenge 2018 Launch and Monthly Events

community · January 16, 2018 · Entrance to Central Park, Denman Island

The 2018 Activity Challenge encourages Denman residents to track their physical activity to collectively reach the distance to the Moon (384,000 km). The first activity event is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 11 a.m., starting at the entrance to Central Park with a 5.5 km loop. A February event is planned for snowshoeing at Mt. Washington on February 13, 2018.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.
