Birds Canada Seeks Volunteers for Beached Bird Survey

Birds Canada is recruiting volunteers to participate in the Beached Bird Survey along the Pacific coast to identify and tag dead seabirds as indicators of marine ecosystem health. Volunteers can receive a free toolkit and are encouraged to walk their favorite beaches monthly to report findings.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups.
