Closure of Silver Pine Aviaries Bird Breeding Operation

Silver Pine Aviaries, an exotic songbird breeding operation on Denman Island operated by Peter Karsten, has closed down after breeding endangered Pekin Robins successfully from 1999 to 2018. The aviaries will be converted to a protected fruit tree area to prevent raccoon and wild bird damage.
