Concerns Raised About Rogers Cell Tower Consultation on Hornby Island

A letter to the editor highlighted concerns about the lack of proper public consultation for a planned 258-foot Rogers cell tower on Hornby Island. The consultation period required by federal guidelines expired without meetings. Similar issues occurred with a Rogers cell tower on Salt Spring Island, where the Local Trust Committee rescinded concurrence due to consultation failures, but the decision was overruled by the federal regulator.
