Denman Conservancy Association hosts invasive species removal and educational talks

environment · 2021-05-21 to 2021-07-23 · DCA stewarded lands

Starting May 21 through July 23, the Denman Conservancy Association is organizing a series of Friday morning work parties capped at 10 people to remove invasive species on DCA lands. Each session begins with a brief talk on topics such as checkerspot butterfly protection, botany of broom, conservation covenants, and native amphibians. Registration is required due to COVID-19 protocols.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.
