Denman Island Bus Service Adapting Bus Stop Location at Gravelly Bay Terminal

infrastructure · July 2021 · Gravelly Bay ferry terminal, Denman Island

Due to safety concerns and traffic congestion, the bus stop at Gravelly Bay ferry terminal has been relocated from the terminal area to the top of the hill. A directional sign will be installed to inform passengers of the new stop location.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.

  • “We did encounter problems with the location of the bus stop... the stop had to be located at the top of the hill where you can get out more easily with the cooperation of traffic control. A directional sign letting people know the stop is up the slope will be installed this weekend.” — The Islands Grapevine – July 8th, 2021 (July 8th, 2021)
