Denman Island Bus Service Considering Second Vehicle Addition

infrastructure · Denman Island

Ambassador Transportation is exploring adding a second minivan to the Denman Island Bus Service fleet to increase service frequency from every 45 minutes to approximately every 20 minutes. Government approval for adding the vehicle is expected to be slow.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.

That would mean that instead of a bus every 45 minutes, there would be one every twenty minutes or so... it is not going to happen overnight: apparently, the government approval process for adding a van to their fleet is notably slow.” — The Islands Grapevine – July 8th, 2021 (July 8th, 2021)
