Denman Island Medical Clinic Staffing Update for 2022
community · 2022 · Denman Island Medical Clinic
Dr. Stephen Fox left the Denman Island Medical Clinic abruptly in July 2021. Dr. Alsoon Brine plans to retire in 2022 with no permanent replacement found yet. Dr. Ron Wilson will continue working Thursdays and Fridays until his planned retirement at the end of 2022. Locum doctors and a Hornby doctor will provide additional coverage. The clinic offers services from a pharmacist, social worker, mental health/substance use worker, registered nurse, and returning physiotherapist.
This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.
