Denman Island Official Community Plan Population Build-Out and Housing Challenges

Denman Island's Official Community Plan allows a build-out to about 2000 residents, up from approximately 1600 currently, with a soft cap allowing a 5% increase focused on affordability. Progress on housing solutions, including secondary dwellings, has been limited, with provincial support favoring urban projects over rural housing initiatives.
