Discovery of Giant Ancient Camels on Ellesmere Island

Fossils of giant camels dating back 3.5 million years were discovered on Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, by Dr. Natalia Rybczynski. These camels lived in a boreal forest environment during a global warming period and are ancestors of modern camels.
