Fairy Creek Injunction Media Access Court Ruling

On July 20, 2021, a BC Superior Court judge ruled that the RCMP must allow media access to enforcement activities in the Fairy Creek injunction zone unless there is a bona fide operational reason to restrict access. The ruling was in response to a media coalition's application and emphasizes the importance of press freedom and the public's right to know.
