General local elections scheduled for October 20, 2018 for Denman and Hornby Islands

A general local election will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 to elect two local trustees each for the Denman Island and Hornby Island Local Trust Areas for a four-year term. Nominations were open from September 4 to 14, 2018. Same-day voter registration will be used, requiring two pieces of identification. Mail ballot voting is available for qualified electors. The Comox Valley Regional District is also conducting elections for electoral area directors and school trustees.
