Government of Canada Ends Litigation with Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nations

The Government of Canada has ended over 15 years of litigation against five Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nations regarding fishing rights. The BC Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the Nations, reaffirming their constitutional fishing rights and priority access. The Nations call for finalizing reconciliation agreements and fair fishing allocations.
