Graham Lake Swim Dock Renovation Fundraising and Plans
infrastructure · May 15, 2022 · Graham Lake Swim Dock
The Graham Lake Swim Dock requires renovations due to heavy use and weather damage. The committee aims to raise $15,000 to $20,000 for a complete overhaul by May 15, 2022, or alternatively raise $2,500 for patchwork to keep the dock afloat for another year while continuing fundraising for major repairs in 2023.
This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.

- “Our plan is to see how much money comes in by May 15 this year, if we have enough to do the major renovations by then, we’ll proceed; if not, we’ll do what needs to be done to keep the dock afloat for another year and keep collecting money for a major overhaul in 2023.” — The Islands Grapevine – April 14th, 2022 (April 14th, 2022)
