January 2018 Astronomical Events Including Supermoon and Lunar Eclipse

January 2018 features two Supermoons on January 1st and 31st, with the latter coinciding with a full lunar eclipse (Blood Moon). The Quadrantids Meteor Shower peaks on the night of January 3rd and early morning of January 4th. The New Moon on January 17th is the best time for celestial viewing.
