A two-day standup comedy workshop led by Cherokee scholar and comedian Jeff Corntassel will be held on Denman Island August 10-11, culminating in a community comedy showcase on August 12 at West Isle Farm, 2830 Piercy Rd. The workshop focuses on decolonizing comedy and is open to local residents interested in developing standup skills. The showcase will feature indigenous comedians and workshop participants.
