Launch of Denman Island Bus Service Pilot

infrastructure · July 1 to September 6, 2021 · Denman Island bus route including Denman West terminal, downtown, Guesthouse, Farmer’s Market, Gravelly Bay

Starting July 1, 2021, the Comox Valley Regional District in partnership with Denman Works will launch a pilot bus service on Denman Island operating Friday to Sunday and some statutory Mondays until September 6. The service will have five designated stops and operate on a 45-minute loop with fares of $2 or by donation. The pilot aims to assess demand and feasibility for future service.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.
