Lheidli T’enneh Chief Demands Pope Visit Canada to Apologize for Residential School Atrocities

Lheidli T’enneh First Nation Chief Dolleen Logan has publicly demanded that Pope Francis visit residential school sites in British Columbia and Saskatchewan to apologize directly to families of children who died. The Chief criticized plans for indigenous leaders to visit the Vatican instead and called for accountability from the Catholic Church, Canadian government, and monarchy.
