Nominations for local trustees for Denman Island and Hornby Island Local Trust Areas were open from September 4 to September 14, 2018. The general local election was scheduled for October 20, 2018, with same-day voter registration requiring two pieces of identification. Mail ballot voting was available for qualified electors. The Comox Valley Regional District managed the election process.
