New Island Class ferry planned for Route 22

The Hornby-Denman Ferry Advisory Committee reported that BC Ferries agreed to several future changes: the Quinitsa on Route 22 in summer 2023, the Kahloke on Route 21 to assist the Baynes Sound Connector, expansion of the BSC to at least 70 cars in fiscal 2024 or 2025, electric conversion as part of the expansion, and a new Island Class ferry on Route 22 in 2026.
