Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council Wins Court Ruling Affirming Commercial Fishery Rights

The BC Court of Appeal ruled unanimously that the Federal Government has infringed on the commercial fishery rights of five Nuu-chah-nulth Nations. The ruling confirms their inherent right to a commercial fishery, urging Fisheries and Oceans Canada to implement the decision immediately. The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council celebrates this long-awaited victory.
