Old Time Dance Party Fundraiser for Wet’suwet’en Pipeline Resistance

community · 2019-03-23 · Denman Community Hall - Front Hall

A dinner, concert, and dance party fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Denman Community Hall Front Hall to support the Likhts’amisyu, a Wet’suwet’en Clan Group resisting the Coastal Gas Link pipeline. The event includes a band, square dance caller, dinner, raffle, and prizes for best square dance costumes. Tickets are $10-$100 donation at the door.

This is the archive, not the newspaper. Between 2018 and 2026 this site compiled these items automatically from public community sources — chiefly The Islands Grapevine, regional news feeds and community groups. They were not written by a reporter and were not held to the standards this publication now applies. The archive is kept because it is a useful dated record of what happened on Denman, and it is labelled because pretending otherwise would be the first thing we would tell you not to trust. Current reporting is at The Denman Firestarter.
